Tour Plan

Upon arrival at Entebbe, you will be picked by our safari guide and then be transferred to your accommodation or lodge. Depending on the time of your arrival or your body feelings, the guide will brief you about the country and of course be welcomed into the pearl of Africa.

After breakfast your safari will start as you depart for Murchison falls national park in Northwestern part of the country for two nights passing via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Have lunch, then proceed to the top of the falls and later check in the lodge for overnight.

Spend the morning on a game drive in Murchison’s breath-taking wildlife and scenery, including 4 of the ‘Big 5’, with only rhino missing. In the afternoon you will embark on a boat cruise to see one of the planet’s great sights, Murchison Falls themselves, where the mighty Nile River squeezes through a 7m wide gorge creating the world’s most powerful water flow and the trademark rainbow. During this three hour cruise you will also get to see the fantastic array of wildlife on the river bank.

After having an early breakfast (6:00 am), you will be transferred to Kibale National Park. Famously known as the "primates capital of the world" this tropical rainy forest is home to more than 12 primate species. It is about 5-6 hours driving through the Kampala-Mubende highway, so you will reach in the afternoon and have lunch in Fort portal town and after proceed to your lodge for relaxation and overnight.

On this day very early in the morning (6:30 am), after taking your breakfast, your guide will pick you up and transfer to the park headquarters for briefing about the do's and don'ts about chimpanzee trekking. After you will enter the forest to search for these beautiful gentle giants, chimpanzee trekking can be as short as 2 hours and sometimes can take some time of about 8 hours. So you are advised to be well equipped for the day. Carry enough drinking water and if possible a rainy jacket and please wear long sleeved clothes. After meeting the chimpanzees you are given an hour of sharing moments with them, take pictures as many as you may want and after return to the lodge for lunch and in the evening head to the community experience.

Today not so early after having your heavy breakfast, you will head west to the famous Queen Elizabeth National Park, dubbed as the "medley of wonders' this is Uganda's most visited National Park. It is about 2-3 hours driving fro Kibale to Queen via Kasese, you will enjoy vast landscapes of the beautiful Rwenzori mountains along the way to your destination.
Reach in the late afternoon and have lunch, relax and then overnight at your lodge.

After an early breakfast, you will go for a guided early morning game drive in the famous Kasenyi plains where you will first be briefed by your guide about what to do when in the park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to about 97 mammals with 4 of the Africa's Big5s animals, so you will be able to sight some of the world's iconic wild animals such as the African Elephants, Lions, Leopards, African Cape Buffaloes etc. After the morning game-drive which takes about 2-3 hours, you will have lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, you will go for a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you will see hippos, crocodiles, buffalos, elephant and a variety of other large animals that come to the river to quench their thirsty. You will most likely to also see an incredible variety of birds. After the boat trip, you will drive back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Morning transfer Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Impenetrable After your morning breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park about 4-5 hours via Ishasha where you have a chance to see the tree climbing lions, which have made Queen Elizabeth national park very famous arriving at the lodge in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon relaxing and have a good night’s sleep in preparation for the following day’s gorilla tracking.

After an early breakfast you will set off towards what will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your safari, the unforgettable experience that is Mountain Gorilla tracking. After trekking through the dense forest to where the Gorillas were found the day before, you continue your tracking, searching for the largest primate in the world. Upon sighting, you will stay with them for one hour as they eat, rest and bond with their young. The tracking can take anywhere between 30 minutes to 4 hours, so be prepared for a long trek through the humid rain-forest. Afterwards you will spend the afternoon relaxing and taking in your beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon, grace yourselves for a community walk. This offers an opportunity to interact with the local people as they do their local activities. There are different sites like tea and coffee farms, traditional healer (medicine man) who uses different herbs to cure different diseases, banana brewing, distillation site, visiting the community schools, visiting the batwa (pygmies), people who used to live in the forest and were evacuated from the forest because of conservation reasons. These people will entertain you with traditional dances and songs explaining their life in the forest.

After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo National Park.. Game drive or boat trip on the lake in the afternoon. In the evening we make a night game drive with high chances of seeing leopards. Lake Mburo is one of the 2 national parks with zebras and the only national park with impalas in Uganda. There are no elephants and lions, so walking safaris are possible.

Game drive or game walk in the morning. On our way back we can make a stopover at the Equator for photos. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
